Empowers recipients to modernize and enhance battlefield education and interpretation


Battlefield Land Acquisition Grant

Assist state and local governments and, when applicable, their nonprofit partners acquire and preserve eligible Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and Civil War battlefield lands


Battlefield Restoration Grants

Battlefield Restoration Grants (BARE) support preservation partners across the country in their effort to restore eligible American Revolution, War of 1812, and Civil War sites to day-of battle conditions

North Carolina

Covington Foundation Grant

Provides grant funding for historic preservation projects across the state of North Carolina


DAR Historic Preservation Grants

Provides financial assistance for projects that preserve historic objects and sites


Peter H. Brink Leadership Fund

Helps to build the capacity of existing preservation organizations and encourages collaboration among these organizations by providing grants for mentoring and other peer-to-peer and direct organizational development and learning opportunities


Underrepresented Communities Grants

URC works towards diversifying the nominations submitted to the National Register of Historic Places. URC Projects include surveys and inventories of historic properties associated with communities underrepresented in the National Register, as well as the development of nominations to the National Register for specific sites
