Who is UPLIFT NC?

UPLIFT NC, a rural tourism initiative supported by the American
Rescue Plan Act, aims to strengthen tourism in rural North Carolina through
community-driven efforts. UPLIFT supports local tourism leaders in realizing their vision
for tourism, encompassing natural, recreational, cultural, agricultural, culinary, and built experiences. The initiative focuses on developing multi-night itineraries to amplify unique rural offerings, retain visitors, and boost spending. It enhances and scales tourism experiences, fosters entrepreneurship, grows businesses, creates jobs, and integrates sustainability.
