The Regenerative Tourism Program supported businesses, sites, and destinations in creating tourism experiences that engaged visitors while addressing local community needs. Delivered through an online cohort and an in-person initiative in western North Carolina to support Hurricane Helene recovery efforts, participants explored projects such as cleanups, historic preservation, volunteer tourism, and agritourism. Through practical tools and real-world examples, the program provided actionable guidance, with all participants reporting that it met or exceeded their expectations.

The program engaged 37 businesses, sites, and destination representatives from across the region through both an online cohort and an in-person western North Carolina initiative.
