Regenerative tourism is tourism that leaves a place better than when a
visitor arrived. Whether it’s supporting a land trust, trail restoration, an arts
project, historical archives, or permaculture, regenerative tourism can provide
an extra set of hands, or funds, to a project while making authentic connections with visitors.
This four-part series, running from August to November, includes two in-person workshops and two zoom sessions.

Western Regenerative Tourism Workshop
Building Community Through Purposeful Travel
Who Should Attend?
We’re inviting leaders and changemakers with land, water, or culture-based projects or project ideas. Ideal participants include landowners or managers, riverkeepers, trail stewards (blue or green), tourism businesses, and leaders in cultural preservation or interpretation that would like to engage visitors in supporting their projects.

Regenerative Tourism (RT) is an umbrella term for
projects that give back to the destination being visited,
one site or one project at a time. Experiences include
Volunteer Tourism, Traveler Donation Programs, and
Citizen Science programs. If you are not sure about
your project, feel free to email us for more information
or watch this short video.
